A simple Dish with big flavors

My Favorite Recipe

My favorite recipe is fried rice, a dish I love for its simplicity, flavor, and versatility. What makes it special is how it transforms basic ingredients into something colorful and delicious. The process usually starts with leftover rice, which I stir-fry with vegetables like carrots, peas, and onions. Then I add scrambled eggs and season everything with soy sauce and a touch of spice. Sometimes I include chicken or shrimp to make it more filling, and other times I keep it light and vegetarian.

What I enjoy most about this recipe is the creativity it allows. No two plates of fried rice ever have to be the same, and I can always adjust it to suit my mood or the ingredients I have at home. It’s quick to prepare, comforting to eat, and always satisfying.

Beyond the taste, fried rice holds personal meaning for me. It reminds me of family meals, where food was not just about eating but about sharing and connecting. Preparing it makes me feel at home, no matter where I am, and eating it brings a sense of comfort. That balance of flavor, creativity, and connection is why fried rice remains my favorite recipe.

      1. Dear Ihe,
I saw you addressing Sir Paul so I got inspired to prefix Madame but it should have been Miss or Ms … but since I wrote Ihe now.. like my language style to acronym names, I might continue with that, if you approve πŸ˜‰
